There are a number of things I have in my routine to do pre-shooting.

1. Outfit preparation

Thinking about what you are going to wear is great, and most importantly trying it out even more (as sometimes it isn’t as it seems in your head).

2. Hair and make up

Washing the hair the night before makes sure you don’t have any bad surprises just before the shoot.

Beauty tips: making sure you have a good night sleep makes your skin as best as it can be, then some moisturiser (I have been using Garnier Hydration+Matte Finish or YSL Forever Youth Liberator Serum),and some Concealer (I use the YSL Touche Éclat). Remembering to moisturise, especially the legs and arms, is important for getting spot-on photos, nobody wants to see scratched legs or dry skin. And paint your nails, it’s always the small pieces that make the big picture.

3. Working with a photographer that you feel comfortable with

And make sure the location goes along with your outfit (I see a lot of girls with high heels in the middle of the forest for their shoot… let’s be honest, that just doesn’t happen in real life).

4. Be yourself, be happy and have fun

Let people see the real, beautiful, magical person that you are.
