Van Gogh once said: “the greatest work of art is to love someone”.
Love is a difficult word, because this word means different things to different people. If we were to ask 10 different people the definition of love, you would end up with 10 different definitions for it, and we all express it in different ways. Yet we know that it means so much to all of us, some people seek it, some people find it, some people loose it… And even if we still don’t know what it is, it’s so strong in ourselves that our choices in life might be defined by it: move to a new country, travel just for a few hours to be with that person or just have this person in your head all day long.
Love, is it true? Does anybody really know when it’s right? How do you know? Are there signs? Fireworks? Is it right when it feels comfortable, or is comfortable a sign that there aren’t any fireworks? Is hesitation a sign that it’s not right? Or a sign that you’re not ready?
The question is: why do relationships end? If it’s so strong and powerful why does it normally come to an end? Relationships end too soon because people stop putting the same effort to keep you as they did to win you.
“No one falls in love by choice, it’s by chance.
No one stays in love by chance, it’s by work.
And no one falls out of love by chance, it’s by choice.”
I believe love is not a feeling, love is a way of living that gives you the feeling.
